Among the very first of its kind ever created, this single estate Arabica from Bettadakhan — nestled in the Bababudangiri hills of Chikmagalur — is aged for six to eight weeks inside agave distillate barrels, fermenting gently with yeast as it rests. The barrel lends its character — warm agave sweetness, deep oak, a lingering richness — while the bean holds firm to the terroir of the hill it was grown on. Roasted in-house, alcohol-free, and produced through a process attempted by only a handful of coffees globally, this is a cup built for those seeking something truly rare — an entirely new frontier of flavor, born from patience and audacious craft.

Crafted to Perfection

Agave Barrel Age is shaped by an extraordinary six-to-eight-week barrel aging process — a technique few in the coffee world have dared to attempt. Roasted in-house to bring out its full character, it delivers a cup of rare complexity: agave sweetness layered with toasted oak and a long, warm finish. Overall, the result is a coffee that feels bold, experimental, and truly exceptional.

From Farm to Cup

Handpicked single estate Arabica cherries are selected from Bettadakhan, one of Badra's estates set high in the Bababudangiri hills of Chikmagalur. After harvest and processing, the beans are placed into agave distillate barrels, where they rest for six to eight weeks — fermenting gently alongside yeast as they absorb the barrel's warmth and sweetness, all while holding onto the character of the hill they were grown on. Once the aging process is complete, the beans are carefully removed, rested, and roasted in-house in small batches to preserve the delicate balance between agave, oak, and origin. Alcohol-free and one of the first of its kind, every stage of this journey — from estate to barrel to roast — is a deliberate step toward a coffee experience that simply doesn't exist anywhere else.

Bettadakhan Estate is ideally nestled in the 'inner giris' of the Bababudangiri hills, shaped like a crescent moon or horseshoe, providing an ideal microclimate for cultivating superior coffee. Situated at an elevation of 3,600-4,700 feet, our estate is renowned for producing some of the finest coffee beans in India, celebrated for their rich flavour and distinctive aroma.

Cancellation Policy: Cancellations for coffee orders will only be considered if the request is made within 12 hours of placing an order or before the order is roasted, whichever comes first.

Due to the nature of our products and our commitment to delivering them in the best condition, we regret to inform you that orders placed with us are considered non-returnable, even if unopened.

If there was an error with your order, kindly reach out to us within 48 hours of receiving your order.

Returns & Refund Policy: In case of receipt of damaged or defective items please report the same to our Customer Service team. The request will, however, be entertained once the merchant has checked and determined the same at his own end. Quality issues raised after 48 hours of delivery will not be entertained.

In case you feel that the product received is not as shown on the site or as per your expectations, you must bring it to the notice of our customer service within the same day of receiving the product. The Customer Service Team after looking into your complaint will take an appropriate decision.
